The arjuna is one of the species whose leaves are fed on by the Antheraea paphia moth which produces the tassar silk, a wild silk of commercial importance.

Recipes:
- Make a decoction of the bark. Add some bark to milk and boil for 5 minutes. Take it every morning.
- Take one teaspoon bark powder with one glass milk twice .
- Grind the bark. Take 2 pinches powder and mix in one teaspoon Honey. Have it with milk for 15 days.
- Boil one teaspoon powder in ordinary tea. Take it once a day.
- Put one teaspoon bark powder in one cup water. Add half cup milk.
- Boil till milk remains. Add 2 teaspoon Loaf Sugar. Have it every morning.
