Laung Herb are the aromatic flower buds of a tree in the family Myrtaceae, Syzygium aromatic. They are native to the Maluku Islands in Indonesia, and are commonly used as a spice. Laung Herb has historically been used for its antiseptic and analgesic effects. Clove/Laung and clove oils are used safely in foods, beverages, and toothpastes. Clove oil cream has been used in the treatment of anal fissures and an extract has exhibited aphrodisiac action in rats. Laung is an herb.
