Samandar Jhaag – Desi Jadi Buti – or cuttlefish bone is the internal shell of cuttlefish. It is white in color, with a hard and brittle internal shell. Contains calcium, carbon and various amino acids. Mainly used in some herbal products. Wide application in Chinese medicine for bleeding, stomach and kidney problems. Some other uses include jewelry making and in birds dietary supplements. It is the calcareous internal shell of a cuttlefish.
